Getting married in Sweden with award-winning photographs

Anna and Erik married in Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel Price ceremony is held, with John Hellström as a wedding photographer. The couple felt wonderful and celebrated together with their immediate family. The couple was expecting a baby and we used the arches to frame them on the way to each other. To make them visible in the dark arches, lightning was hidden behind the pillars, aimed at both of them. The black and white picture was called "We three becomes one" and won prizes recently in Europe, USA och Asia.

About Stockholm city hall

Wikipedia writes: “The southeast corner of the building, immediately adjacent to the shore, is marked by a monumental tower crowned by the Three Crowns, an old national symbol for Sweden. The tower is 106 metres high and is accessible by an elevator or by a stair of 365 steps. The eastern side of its base is decorated with a gold-plated cenotaph of 13th century Swedish statesman Birger Jarl. Stadshuset is considered one of Sweden's foremost examples of national romanticism in architecture.

The unique site, overlooking Riddarfjärden, inspired a central motif of the construction, namely the juxtaposition of city architecture and water that also represents a central feature of Stockholm's cityscape as a whole. The architectural style is one of refined eclecticism, blending massive, austere, North European brick construction and playful elements reminiscent of oriental and venetian architecture, such as turrets adorned with golden starlets, decorated balconies, wooden masts, and statues. Stockholm City Hall has been the location of a number of cultural productions, including the 1991 music video Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave) by Swedish pop duo Roxette.“

A bespoke wedding album

Anna and Erik chose a tailor-made wedding album / wedding book from Italian Album Epoca. John designed their story and adapted the editing to suit the couple. They chose to include a vertical image of the town hall cut into the book cover, where they walk towards the sun with the shadow behind them for a nice contrast. A wedding album is a fantastic memory for wedding couples, which increases in value with each passing year. When it is handed over to children and grandchildren, they receive an invaluable historical document about their family history.
