Photographing a wedding at Grand Hôtel in Sweden

Congratulations to Jennifer and Simon, who got married at Grand Hotel in the central of Stockholm. They got married and had their reception in the room named “Bolinderska palatset" (free translation: “the palace of Bolinder”), at Södra Blasieholmshamnen.

A Grand Experience

Here are some book spreads from their Grand Hotel wedding experience, design by John Hellström:

A bespoke Italian wedding album

The wedding couple selected a bespoke Italian wedding book from Album Epoca, with ivory coloured cover with embossed names, and gold painted edges.

About Grand Hôtel in Stockholm

They describe the Grand Hotel history like this: ”The Grand Hôtel Stockholm has been home to celebrities, grand events and ordinary life-lovers since 1874. It was the French chef Régis Cadier who took the initiative for the first Swedish hotel that could measure up with the well-known hotels in Europe. Apart from the fact that the hotel founder got the Cadier bar named after him, his care for the guests and love for glamorous events also remain in the hotel.”

“Behind the discreet facade, great stars in film, music and politics have always found a place. Nobel laureates and royalty are also looking forward to the hotel opposite Stockholm's castle. The very first Nobelsupen was held at the Grand Hôtel in 1901. Until 1929, the party was given room in the Spegelsalen, before the event became too big and was moved to the City Hall. But the Laureates and their families still live with us, and are traditionally courted with coffee on the bed of Lucia on December 13th.”
